Straight out of school at the age of 18, Georgina took part in her first fashion shoot, with photographer Peter Orford and renowned designer Vivien Westwood. She then went on to study fine art and photography at the Crawford college of Art and Design, where she explored her creativity and developed her visual skills, both as a photographer and fine artist.
After that she studied Communications at Griffith, College Crumlin, and then took a Diploma in journalism at UCD. In 2001 she landed the job of Fashion Editor of Ireland’s best-selling U magazine, where she remained for two years. Georgina naturally moved into TV and presented slots for popular fashion programmes such as Off the Rails and Open house.
In 2003 Georgina secured the high profile position of Deputy Editor at Irish Tatler, Ireland's leading fashion magazine. This led to close contact with fashion giants Diane von Furstenberg, Matthew Williamson, Lulu Guinness, Paris Hilton and various supermodels such as Karolina Kurkova and Kate Moss. Georgina coordinated the very first Irish Tatler Designer Showcase in London, which featured designers such as Louise Kennedy, John Rocha, Orla Kiely, Lainey Keogh, Jen Kelly and celebrated milliner, Philip Treacy.
Eager to produce articles for a wider audience, Georgina became Style Editor of the top-selling Irish Daily Mail in 2005 . Over four years , she enjoyed a variety of challenges, designing pages for the glossy weekend Style magazine and writing in-depth articles as a Senior Features Writer for the newspaper.
Georgina has also made waves in the film business, as Fashion Director on a number of films by Zanzibar productions, including Home, Limbo and The Dentists Daughter. Georgina has also worked as a PR consultant and has styled advertising campaigns for the likes of Dylon and Nike amongst others, as well as producing fashion shows for household names such as Lee jeans and styling pop star Macy Grey.
Georgina is now working as a freelance fashion stylist, journalist and lecturer.
